What is a special impact socket?
A special impact socket is one manufactured outside the standard metric and imperial range. This includes non-standard drive interfaces, unusual fastener profiles, oversized drives, and application-specific configurations such as scaffolding sockets.

What drive types are available?
Standard square drives cover most applications. Some tool interfaces require something different.

Where the tool interface is non-standard, the socket needs to match it exactly. An off-the-shelf socket will not fit.
What fastener profiles can be manufactured?
Most impact sockets are manufactured for hex fasteners. Industrial and specialist applications use a wider range of profiles.
