All Cengar Saws are Atex certified, reliable, fast cutting with a long working life; With low vibration, allowing unrestricted use under most conditions. Low air consumption – only 0.116 to 0.168m3/min (4-5 ¾ C.f.m.) much lower than any vaned Air Saw. Our saws are easy and inexpensive to repair.
The company was formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK in 1945 to manufacture air tools for use by the Motor Trade and Aircraft Industry.
In 1954 the company designed and patented the twin piston air reciprocating saw and improved on this through another patent in 1964. The result of this was the production of a lightweight, reliable saw which needed only a small volume of air to operate even to the point of being able to work effectively from the contents of a small air cylinder. This policy of product development has continued ever since with improvements to design, quality and materials being one of the reasons why the saws continue to the best of their kind in the world.
In addition to its pneumatic saw range, Cengar manufactures a specialised range of industrial impact sockets, engineered for durability and performance in demanding environments, as well as pneumatic pallet spreaders used during pallet repair operations.
